Significance of selection meeting date for CBI Chief ?

The much awaited meeting to select new CBI Chief is scheduled for May 24.Is the date significant ? Infact, NIA Chief Y C Modi is scheduled to retire on May 31 and people believe that Assam cadre 1984 batch IPS officer is going to make it.
