Six IAS officers in Punjab get new responsibilities

As many as six IAS officers in Punjab have been given new responsibilities. Ranveet Kaur has been posted as Special Chief Secretary, Labour with additional charges of Special Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries and Principal Resident Commissioner (NRI Affairs) Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi, while Praveen Kumar Thind was made Special Secretary, Labour and given additional charge of Labour Commissioner. Similarly, Vinay Bublani, Chief Administrator, Punjab Urban Planning & Development Authority, SAS Nagar and Director, T&CP, gets additional charge of Special Secretary, Housing & Urban Development; Gurinder Pal Singh Sahota will take charge as Special Secretary, Information Technology and Amit Talwar is now Additional Secretary, GAD. Besides, Rahul Gupta was relieved of additional charges of Additional Secretary, Medical Education & Research and Additional Director (Admn) Dr BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences Society, SAS Nagar, Mohali and will only hold the charge of Additional Secretary, Agriculture.
