Special Team led by Vijay Kumar eliminates 91 militants so far

A 1997 batch IPS officer of Jammu & Kashmir cadre, Vijay Kumar appears to be born for the nation and pledges to weed out terrorism from the Kashmir region. Since he joined as IG, Kashmir, a total of 91 militants of various terrorist groups have been eliminated in the valley under his supervision. From his first posting as SDPO Ganderpal to IGP, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar has served many important positions in militancy infested areas of Kashmir, including SP Operations Pulwama, SP Kulgam, SP Awantipora, Kupwara & DIG Anantnag with many successful operations in valley. The special team led by him has also taken up the concurrent challenges of COVID-19 with terrorism threat.
