SPG strength reduced drastically

SPG, the elite force, nowadays is very less. Its strength has been reduced to about 50%. Many officers and officials have been repatriated to their parent cadre. After the withdrawal of SPG cover from the Gandhi family and others, the Force's utility has drastically come down. The force is providing security cover only to the PM.
