Story behind extension to DGP, UP

Uncertainty was at its height on Friday September 29,whether Sulkhan Singh will get extension. Situation was reportedly so murky that everybody was tight lipped. Even his farewell parade was organised in the evening and till then there was no word. UP govt was reportedly making alternative arrangements and there was strong rumours that a senior IPS officer is going to be appointed new DGP. Suddenly, late evening, the state govt received the GoI communiqué regarding Singh's three months extension.
