After repeated lapses by CBSE in conducting national examinations causing grave nation wide concern, the PMO stepped in and  constituted the National Testing Agency. HRD Minister Prakash Javedkar regularly monitored NTA functioning and within short time chairman NTA and Secretary higher education  Mr Subrahmanyam and Mr Vineet Joshi DG NTA and former chairman CBSE has successfully rolled out India's  first 100% computer based UGC NET  examination in which more than nine lakh candidates applied. Results will be declared in January.
