Suman Bery appointed new NITI Aayog vice chairman

Suman Bery, former director-general of the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), one of the country's leading independent policy research institution, has been appointed full-time member of the NITI Aayog. He  will take over as the as the new vice chairperson of NITI Aayog from May 1. The government has accepted the has accepted his resignation of NITI Aayog vice chairman Rajiv Kumar, who was appointed to India’s policy think tank five years ago, on Friday.
