Sushil Chandra to be CEC !

Normally, once appointed Election Commissioner takes over as Chief Election Commissioner prior to attaining the age of 65.This time third Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra  would have  retired as EC had number two Ashok Lavasa not been appointed in the ADB. Had there been no this development Sushil Chandra would have retired only as EC on May 15, 2022 while his senior Ashok Lavasa was to retire only on October 21 after attaining the age of 65.
