Task Force constituted for NDTL

The govt has started re - drafting of more than 50 years old IT Act 1961. Accordingly a Task Force has been constituted for redrafting a New Direct Tax Legislation. Arbind Modi, Member (Legislation), CBDT will be Convener. Girish Ahuja, CA, Rajiv Memani, Chairman & RMP, E&Y, Mukesh Patel, Tax Advocate, Ahmedabad, Mansi Kedia, Consultant ICRIER, Delhi and G C Srivastava, IRS, Reted will be members. Dr Arvind Subramanian, CEA, will be a Permanent Special Invitee. The Task Force shall submit its report to the government within six months.
