Telecom Cyber Security rules notified

The government has notified the Telecom Cyber Security Rules 2024. According to the notification, issues bey the department of telecom, all service providers will adopt a telecom cyber security policy, which shall include  security safeguards, risk management approaches, actions, training, best practices and technologies, to enhance telecom cyber security; telecommunication network testing including hardening, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing;  Every telecommunication entity shall appoint a Chief Telecommunication Security Officer, whose details shall be provided in writing to the Central Government.
