Theatre Command reform with Cabinet committee

Reports from mid-July indicated the theatre-command reform (three proposed commands: Western under Air Force facing Pakistan; Northern under Army facing China; Maritime under Navy) was nearing Cabinet Committee on Security clearance after CDS Gen Subramani sought Ministry of Defence approval for rollout. Each would have a four-star theatre commander with integrated assets. Future wars are repeatedly described as joint, integrated, and theatre-oriented.
