Again and again this has been proved in Modi Government that recommendation is a disqualification. 1988 batch IPS officer Sujoy Lal Thaosen has been appointed new CRPF DG and reason is his patience, competence and hardwork . Thaosen without any protest worked under his batchmate Pankaj Singh in BSF for 9 months and later as SSB Chief with additional charge of ITBP showed his competence. Similarly, 1988 batch Manipur cadre IPS officer Special Director IB Anish Dayal Singh was made DG ITBP. He also with patience worked under his batchmate Tapan Deka who is now IB Chief. He has worked on many desks and handled various investigations during his tenure in the IB.
