Three 1988 batch IPS officers holding independent position

While about half a dozen IPS officers of 1986 batch are waiting in the wings, three 1988 batch IPS officers are holding independent assignments. They include Jharkhand cadre IPS officer S  N Pradhan who is DG NDRF, West Bengal cadre IPS officer Ram Phal Pawar who is DG NCRB and Gujarat cadre IPS officer Atul Karwal who is Director National Police Academy  Hyderabad.
