Pravir Krishna an IAS officer of the 1987 batch leads the revival of Trifed / Tribes India.

Trifed, an autonomous organisation under the M/o Tribal Affairs, logged record sales in the year 2017-18 registering a 78% rise in sales, more importantly leading to a trebling of incomes of it’s 70,000 tribal artisans.

Trifed, under Krishna, with its new found confidence seems well poised for a launch off in the big league to recalibrate the Minimum Support Price Scheme of Minor Forest Produces, the with the Prime Minister launching Van Dhan, (on 14 June2018 in Beejapur, Bastar). Van Dhan, ie, Wealth of Forests, is a primary village level Value Addition Scheme for 45 lac tribal gathers, Trifed seems set to and well and truly poised to deliver the goods.
