Tripura is one of the important states in Northeast but it seems that it is not a preferred destination for the IAS officers. More than a dozen newly recruited Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers have left the state cadre in recent years. Transfers have been mostly sought on the grounds of marriage or personal choice.
