Tug-of-war between field officers of IPS, IAS continues unabated in UP

The field officers of both Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) became involved in tug-of-war over establishing hegemonic control over appointments of Town Inspectors and Inspectors with a Collector expressing displeasure on the appointment of them without his proper approval by writing to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of his district in Uttar Pradesh.
