Tug-of-war for post of Surveyor General of India ensued

Ahead of retirement of Dr Swarna Subba Rao, tug-of-war has begun among three claimants for the post of Surveyor General of India. Major General, G P Shrivastava, a senior most officer, is retiring in September. He is unlikely to be appointed for three months. The big fight ensued between Major General, Girish Kumar and Civil candidate Navini Tomar for the post falling vacant on July 1 this year.
