Tug-of-war over DGP post in AP

A tug-of-war has triggered between Damodar Gautam Sawang and R P Thakur for the post of Director General of Police (DGP) in Andhra Pradesh falling vacant on July 1, 2018. According to sources, Chief Minister is wishing to appoint Sawang while his son  advocates the name of R P Thakur. The Government of Andhra Pradesh is expected to announce the name in few hours after reaching consensus.
