Two former Mumbai Police Commissioners in politics

Former 1979 batch IPS officer Arup Patnaik and former 1980 batch IPS officer Satya Pal Singh are in active politics today. While Satya Pal Singh is a Minister in the Modi Cabinet, Arup Patnaik has joined the BJD in Odisha. Incidentally, both the officers have been Police Commissioners of Mumbai.
