The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against two retired IAS officers - Bishnu Charan Khatua of 1976 batch of Maharashtra cadre and A K Bhatt of 1969 batch of Madhya Pradesh cadre - on the charges of facilitating the private commodity exchange in getting the National Multi Commodity Exchange Status despite not fulfilling the stipulated criteria. Both the retired IAS officers served as Chairman of the FMC. One Rajiv Kumar Agrawal of the IRS and Kewal Ram of the IES have also been bee booked.
