Unprecedented suspense over extension to CS in MP

Since inception of Madhya Pradesh there has never been such a suspense over extension or appointment of Chief Secretary. Media predictions failed and the tenure of Iqbal Singh Bains as Chief Secretary has been extended for a period upto May 31, 2023. Bains, who belongs to a 1985 batch IAS officer of MP cadre, was due to retire on November 30 on his date of superannuation.
