UP Government holds salaries of over 68,000 state employees for non compliance of asset declaration mandate!

In a major drive to enforce transparency and curb corruption, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken strict action against over 68,000 state employees. Salaries of 68,236 government staff have been withheld for failing to upload details of their movable and immovable assets on the Manav Sampada portal. The Yogi Adityanath-led government, reiterating its “zero-tolerance” policy against corruption, has directed that no salary will be released until employees comply with the property disclosure mandate. The move aims to ensure accountability in bureaucracy and bring all state personnel under uniform scrutiny, aligning administrative procedures with digital governance reforms.
