UP Govt directs DMs to fast-track local infra projects; seeks report

To accelerate grassroots development, the Yogi Adityanath administration has issued strict directives to District Magistrates (DMs) and Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) across Uttar Pradesh. Officials must immediately fast-track small and medium infrastructure projects, prioritizing localized initiatives like well digging and the construction of short-route bridges.

To ensure strict accountability and prevent bureaucratic delays, the government has mandated the swift submission of detailed "work-done" reports. DMs and SDMs are now directly responsible for monitoring execution timelines and confirming physical project completion on the ground.
