UP to downsize half govt deptts

In a big exercise, UP govt has decided to have only 44 govt departments against 95. The state govt is doing this exercise on the suggestion of NITI AAYOG. Yogi govt is likely to give this proposal a green signal in the Cabinet meeting soon.
