Vice Admiral Pramod assumes charge of DCNS

Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod, AVSM, YSM, assumed charge as Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (DCNS) on 1 August 2026 (succeeding Vice Admiral Tarun Sobti, who superannuated on 31 July after 38+ years). Commissioned in 1990; previously DG Naval Operations (Dec 2023–July 2026).
