Vigilance inquiries in Railways -why ?

Railway Board has reportedly initiated vigilance inquiries against eight senior officers instrumental in making Vande Bharat express, one of the finest examples of the Make in India policy of the Government of India. It appears Railway board is once again upto its time tested tricks of selectively foisting vigilance inquiries upon officers when they are due for important positions.
