VRS proposal of Nabakishore from IAS cancelled; likely to be next CS, Manipur

The Government of Manipur has reportedly cancelled the Voluntarily Retirement Scheme (VRS) proposal of Oinam Nabakishore Singh from Indian Administrative Service (IAS) with effect from October 9, 2017 fueling speculations that he could be installed as Chief Secretary of Manipur on October 1, 2017. The present incumbent Rajnai Ranjan Rashmi is retiring on September 30, 2017.  Singh, who belongs to 1984 batch IAS officer of Manipur cadre, is due to retire in November 2019.
