WAPCOS secures a Power Project in Zimbabwe

WAPCOS and Zimbabwe Power Company signed an Agreement the other day for Project Management Consultancy for Hwange Life Extension Project.

It is a 920 MW Thermal Power Station at Hwange; which is the largest in Zimbabwe and meets country’s almost 40% of power demands.  The total value of services to be rendered by WAPCOS is US$ 5 million. The project will benefit the people of Zimbabwe by assuring continuous power and bring more prosperity to the country.

WAPCOS, a “MINI RATNA-I” Public Sector Enterprise under the aegis of the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti., is a technology driven Consultancy and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) organization in the areas of Water Resources, Power and Infrastructure Development.
