Was this the reason of CP\'s removal in UP ?

Though Sujit Pandey was apparently transferred from the post of CP, Lucknow, last month due the prevalence of spurious wine which claimed some life, sources said that the CPs have not yet been given the power of Excise Act. It is still with the magistrate.
