What happened in the appointment of the new Chairman CBDT ?

One doesn’t know why the new Chairman was not appointed and Additional charge given to Sangeeta Singh? If insiders are to be believed Nitin Gupta  was a strong contender till the morning of April 30. Then suddenly Secretary Revenue  reportedly called Anuja Sarangi and Mahapatra  to his room  and whispered something that no one knows. By late afternoon rumours started flowing in favour of Sangeeta Singh. And finally orders were issued on Sunday morning.
