MP cadre IAS officer, Pramod Agrawal to succeed A K Jha as CMD, Coal India

A 1991 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, Pramod Agrawal has been selected for the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Coal India Limited (CIL) at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on August 27, 2019. He is likely to succeed incumbent Anil Kumar Jha retiring in January, 2020. As many as five candidates including two IAS officers were interviewed for the same.

This is a million dollar question that who will appointed Members against the three vacant posts in CBIC ? In recent past those IRS (C&CE) were superseded who were due to retire in few months. If same patterns repeated than Devendra Singh and M. Ajit Kumar likely to be appointed new Members. Both officers belong to 1984 batch.

1984 batch IRS (C&CE ) officer Devendra Singh presently Principal Chief Commissioner Meerut and M Ajit Kumar Principal Chief Commissioner , Chennai are likely to be appointed new Members of the CBIC.  Kumar is also 1984 batch IRS(C&CE) officer.
