Govt may retain Dr Raj Kiran Rai as UBI MD & CEO after June 30
Whispers are that Dr Raj Kiran Rai, MD & CEO of Union Bank of India, is likely to continue in the post till 2022. His file has been sent to PMO. His tenure is ending on June 30, 2020. The Banks Board Bureau may have advertised by now for the post as it has already recommended MD & CEO for Indian Overseas Bank and Central Bank of India. The current process of amalgamation in Union Bank of India with Corporation Bank and Andhra Bank, banking sources say, may be prompting the Finance Ministry to prolong stay of Dr Raj Kiran Rai after his tenure ends on June 30, 2020.
