Under the present circumstances Mukul Goel, who is presently on deputation to the Centre, is ahead in the race for the post of DGP of UP. He is 1987 batch IPS officer.

Mukul Goel is likely to be new DGP of UP. DGP's appointment file has reportedly reached the CMO and Yogi Aaditya Nath  is likely to clear the file by today after noon. Goel is presently posted in the BSF as Spl DG. He is a 1987 batch IPS officer.
