Who is backing the Anti Reservation Protests?

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi under the "Reservation Hatao Andolan" banner. The protest called for replacing caste-based quotas with economic criteria, enforcing creamy-layer provisions, and applying a "one family, one reservation" cap. Delhi Police detained over 50 participants after the assembly proceeded without permission at Jantar Mantar rather than the designated Ramlila Maidan site.

 The movement was organized primarily on social media, spearheaded by an Instagram campaign that rapidly gathered over 5.6 million followers. Physical turnout was supported by general-caste advocacy bodies, including the Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Mahasabha, alongside prominent digital influencers.
