Who will be new Agriculture Secretary?

Guess work is going on as to who will be new boss in Agriculture Ministry. As per indication, names of two IAS officers of 1984 batch are doing the round for the post. Arvind Mehta, HP cadre and R Rajgopal of the Tamil Nadu cadre are said to be in the race for the next Agriculture Secretary post. S K Pattanayak, Union Agriculture Secretary is superannuating in September. He is a Karnataka cadre 982 batch IAS officer. After his retirement 1982 batch will be wind up in Karnataka because he is the last officer of this batch.
