Who will be the new chairman of IBA?

The new chairman of Indian Banks Association (IBA) will be elected in the AGM of IBA -being held on March 17 at Mumbai. As per convention the senior most head of a PSB including SBI is made chairman of IBA for one year term based on a consensus. This convention was broken when this time Atul Goel- the present Chief Executive - was made chairman for the  second consecutive time recently. Now it is to be seen whether the mantle is given to Rajneesh Karnataka, MD of BOI, as per convention or Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, Chairman of SBI is chosen by the member banks.
