Who will be the new CMD of BHEL?

The incumbent Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), K. Sadashiv Murthy is expected to superannuate on February 28, 2027. Out of the four functional Directors—S. M. Ramanathan is going to retire on January 31, 2027 while Tajinder Gupta will retire on February 28, 2027. Bani Varma and Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi have documented Board-level responsibilities and substantial professional experience. The four Executive Directors, Vinod Jacob Sam, Yatindra Mohan, Nishit Babyloni and N Ramesh Kumar, may also warrant consideration, but their individual achievements and eligibility need to be examined separately.
