The Haryana Government needs to resolve the 1990 batch IAS officers’ seniority row on priority, as it is pending since long. The issue is casting an adverse impact on various IAS officers including the Chief Secretary. The incumbent CS Anurag Rastogi is scheduled to retire on 30 June this year

Why it is important for Haryana Govt to resolve seniority row?

The Haryana Government needs to resolve the 1990 batch IAS officers’ seniority row on priority, as it is pending since long. The issue is casting an adverse impact on various IAS officers including the Chief Secretary. The incumbent CS Anurag Rastogi is scheduled to retire on 30 June this year, while other bureaucrats, a part of the dispute Raja Sekhar Vundru will retire in July 2026, Sudhir Rajpal in November 2026 and  Sumita Misra will reach superannuation in January next year.
