Will corruption cases be registered against 34K+ UP officials ?

In UP, 34,459 officials' have not filed their property return and the state government has stopped their salary for the month of October. Among them, a maximum of over 22,000 employees belong to class-III while 1,817 are class one and 4143 are class-II officials. As per information 6,311 class-IV employees are also in the list. The UP government has introduced the property return system for the state officials, first time and they were asked to submit their immovable/ movable property details by January 31 this year, but the officials did not take it seriously. The govt raised the last date four times and ultimately the chief secretary ordered to stop the salaries of those officials who did not submit their property detail by September this year. But still more than 4% yet to file heir return. The UP has 8,30,616 state employees. The Yogi government has adopted a zero tolerance policy against corruption. Now all eyes shall be on his next step. If they are treated as corrupt, severe action could be initiated against irritating officials. Experts said that this is a matter of great concern that not, officers, babus(clerical staff) are ruthlessly defying the govt order.
