Will Hasmukh Adhia be new EC or return to Gujarat ?

There are strong reports that Secretary Finance Hasmukh Adhia, who is superannuating on November 30, may be appointed new Election Commissioner. File of 1981 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, Adhia is  reported to have gone for security clearance. However, all his friends close to Adhia said that he would not join any Government post and would return to the parent state Gujarat to fullfill his interests. Name of former Secretary Commerce Rita Teotia is also in circulation. One can wait and watch.
