Will Justice Gogoi be next CJI ? (2)

Will Justice Ranjan Gogoi succeed Chief Justice Dipak Mishra on October 2 ? Now the ball is in the court of CJI Justice Dipak Mishra.  The Government has made it clear  “As far as the next CJI is concerned, the convention is clear. The sitting CJI would forward the name of his successor. When the name does come to us, we would discuss it. But there is no reason to doubt our intentions.” It means appointment of new CJI depends on the recommendation of the CJI. Will he recommend name of Justice Gogoi or Justice Sikri ?
