Those named include Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh and Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao, marking a rare instance where accountability extended beyond municipal-level agencies to the highest tiers of the state administration.

The probe widened its scope to examine alleged lapses in infrastructure planning, supervision, and maintenance, also bringing police and civic authorities under scrutiny.
