Will present Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh be new RERA Chief?

The bureaucracy in Himachal Pradesh is speculating that the present Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena will be new Chief of Himachal Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), after the retirement. Saxena is due to reach superannuation as Chief Secretary on March 31, 2025. The term of former RERA Chairman Srikant Baldi ended on December 12 last. Baldi has held the position of Chief Secretary before he was appointed the Chairman of RERA. It has been reliably learnt that Saxena has expressed desire to remain disassociated with the entire process for the appointment of the RERA Chairman, strongly indicating that he is in the race for the post. IAS officer Devesh Kumar is presently the Chairperson of RERA, as an additional charge. The meeting to select RERA Chief is scheduled for March 5.
