Fingers are crossed about the continuance of Dr Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary-cum-DG, ICAR. He is already on an extension. ICAR comes under the Department of Agriculture Research Education (DARE), under the Ministry of Agriculture. Dr Mohapatra is the Secretary DARE and DG, ICAR. He has been heading the organization since 2015 as Director but in 2016 the post was upgraded to DG.
