Violence unleashed for the sake of ‘Gaddi’

The violence unleashed by the mob yesterday on Bharat Bandh did so much damage. Ten lives were lost. Buses were burnt, railway tracks were uprooted. People were put to so much difficulty. As an example a family known to me consisting of husband wife an old mother and two small kids were returning from Shirdi by Jhelum Express. The train halted at Agra and could not move ahead as the protesters not only blocked the route but uprooted rails also. Stranded for eight hours at Agra Railway station they finally took a cab leaving late in the evening and reaching their home in Delhi at midnight. For what purpose common people were put to so much misery. Supreme Court order had just stopped the practice to arrest anyone and without bail against false or vindictive complaints. In any case the Government had decided to appeal against that order. I think it is all politics. Desperate to unseat Prime Minister Modi and come back to power the political parties are playing every dirty game even getting people killed. The dalit card is one of these games. What have they done for Dalits all these years when they were in power. The fact is that they are not going to succeed but much damage is being done to the harmony and peace among communities.

Eminent Telugu Brahmin community devoted to upliftment of society and country

Eminent Telugu Brahmin community are freedom fighters, good administrators who ruled this country with honesty, sincerity and saved this country. Eminent Telugu Brahmins PV Narasimha Rao, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishna, Dr KL rao, VV Giri, VB Raju, V Rama Rao, Tanagaturi Prakasam Pantulu, Dr. Borugula Ramakrishna Rao etc, many former scientist, bureaucrats, army officers, PSU chief, PSB chiefs were honest and sincere and devoted to upliftment of the society and country. Unfortunately, this community was not bothered and many had left for USA and settled in top positions. It is a great loss to this country. Will govt look into it.

RTI

Penalty for not responding to the RTI Application

The applicant sought information about status of his PF claim, specifically about the action taken on his representation. Because of lack of response, the applicant approached the Commission which issued a show cause notice for imposing penalty. The PIO agreed to the fact that the file of the appellant was not traceable. The CIC noted that the respondent authority had not given any response within the stipulated 30 days’ time from the date of receipt of this RTI application. Information was provided only after CIC’s direction. The CIC observed that this is illegal and blatant denial of information on the lame excuse that the records could not be traced. The CIC further observed that for an ordinary workman like the applicant, the PF amount is like a security, non-settlement of PF payment issues will seriously affect the maintenance of family of the PF holder. It indicates the failure of governance on the part of the public authority. The maximum penalty of Rs 25,000/- was imposed on the PIO.
Comments
The PIO should respond to the RTI Applicant in every case within the prescribed time period. The absence of records cannot be taken as a ground for denial of information.
