Sharad Pawar withdraws resignation

NCP Chief Sharad Pawar has withdrawn his resignation. He said he did so in view of the appeals made by party workers and leaders and he respected their sentiments. Perhaps Ajit Pawar wanted to become party president although Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule was also a strong contender for the post in case Sharad Pawar would have chosen not to take back his resignation. But Ajit Pawar has welcomed Sharad Pawar’s decision to withdraw his resignation from the post of party President and thus set to rest any speculations about possible rebellion in the family and the party. However, it is too early to jump to any conclusion.

They should highlight on finding solutions
I agree. They should highlight as to how they plan to find solution to some of the important issues faced by the country. They should not announce measures which are against National interest.

Time to Introspect for Congress party

Congress party is a sinking ship now; it is high time its leaders accept it, before it sinks sooner than expected. Abusing Modi just for the sake of limelight is sheer stupidity on the part of Congress. Every time the Congress party has used 'Abuse as a weapon ' against Modi, it has misfired and turned into a boon for Modi. It is a humble suggestion to the Grand Old Party of India to find better and productive issues than utter crap for the PM and then face consequences for it in the form of legal battle.

"Worse Times Ahead "

With fast approaching elections, the situation in the country is becoming increasingly chaotic. Rallies, road shows, anti-corruption raids, hate speeches, politico- communal violence. Can we trust the political class that seems unconcerned about the impact of such wasteful expenditure on the taxpayers? No time for ensuring good governance and effective public services delivery mechanism.
Threats from our hostile neighbours, China and Pakistan, have been looming over the country. Pakistan is killing our security forces by waging a proxy war. Retaliation by India is awaited. What are we waiting for? China is untrustworthy and a permanent pain in the neck of India. It believes in occupying our territory following the doctrine of salami-slicing.
Indian politicians, pre-occupied with electoral campaigning, seem un-concerned about public welfare threatened by growing inflation and joblessness.
Nature is also turning against the World. The world-wide turbulence caused due to climate change, global warming, earthquakes, fear of submerging of 100 cities in the world (including 11 in India) due to rise in temperature of the sea, are predicted by experts.
And, last, but not the least, there is a potential threat of nuclear war.
Are we ready to face multiple challenges?

Time to change the working pattern in C&AG

I agree with S Gopal ji that C&AG be given more powers for pre audits etc. But unluckily C&AG does what head of the organization says; even report drafts are cleared by head of C&AG & organisation chief, this practice is prevalent in all 3 stages of Audit. Reason is simple it's supremacy of IAS WHICH RULES.

Mass transfer affects sound administration

Mass transfer and posting always affects the sound administration and unaccounted transfer/ posting should always be reported to discard others from this practice.

CAG's mandate should be enlarged
I fully endorse the comment that CAG's mandate should be enlarged to fully & effectively utilise the core competence of the organisation.

Reply on receipt of CIC notice

The appellant sought the rules regarding seniority list of MATE (SSK) (Direct recruitment) in MES and whether the same are command wise. The CIC perused the records and observed that on 29.06.2022, the appellant was informed that the information sought is not clear. However, on receipt of the CIC notice, a suitable reply was sent to the appellant. The CIC issued a strict warning to the PIO to be careful and avoid delayed and irrelevant replies.
Comments
Every PIO must adhere to the RTI Act in word and spirit. A PIO may not come across as a lenient Information Commissioner who may pardon delay with only a warning.

Laying off site engineers -worst decision

Laying off of employed site engineers is worst decision taken by NHAI without informing MoRTH minister.

Congratulations to DP Dash
Hearty congrats to DP Dash on his appointment as Chief of CLW. When Shri Dash was heading the EMU car shed Avadi, SR, I occupied the position of chief of quality and testing of metro cars and railway products including EMUs at BEML Bangalore Complex. I had the privilege and good fortune to have interacted with him on a number of occasions as he was one of the most important users of our EMU rakes. He was always very warm hearted, proactive and very forthright in giving valuable inputs and suggestions regarding our emu rakes which helped us to a very great extent. I wish Shri DP Dash all the very best in all endeavours and I pray and hope that he occupies the post of Chairman/ CEO of Indian Railways which he richly deserves.
