MGNREGA is a way of bribing citizens?

MGNREGA is a way of bribing the citizens who have no voice but the power to vote. Bengal being one of the notorious political states among others needs no explanation behind such a move by the centre. If the centre does equally with other states, definitely this bribe will be a wage in the real sense. I congratulate the Whispers to be a voice of the voiceless. In a democratic setup like ours, an unbiased media role is highest in framing the society right.

Again induction of non-IAS officer for Member (PPP) in NHAI?
Such publication can serve the purpose only when Govt takes note of it and makes an independent enquiry from CVC & fix the responsibilities irrespective of how senior or powerful the culprits are otherwise the publication will remain just publication only.

Looters looting this country

The existing political scenario proves beyond doubt that India the so called largest democracy is no longer a democracy left, rather India is being ruled by elite class majority of them have criminal background, all elites elected by voters are a saleable product, there is no way that they are answerable to the voters. Height is laws are being made for foolish voters or the general public which suit their politics, welfare of voters is missing, looters are looting this country and making it bankrupt with their self interest corruptive policies. Where India is heading, God only knows.

Partiality with 1987 batch

Someone should explain the reason for partiality with the 1987 batch. I think digit 1987 has some meaningless connection with Gujarat.

Uddhav could have saved govt if taken cognizance of Whispers
If Uddhav Thackeray Government had taken cognizance of ‘whispersinthecorridors.com's (WITC) prediction on May 5, 2022, it would have saved the government from fall. Maharashtra political development is not surprising as it was predicted by the ‘whispersinthecorridors.com' and the government could have managed damage control.

Strengthening of internal security of India

As per the constitutional arrangement, State Governments are responsible for maintaining law and order. Needless to mention here that due to political reasons and conflict among Central and State/UT Governments there have been occasions when central agencies like CBI, ED, etc were helpless to perform their lawful actions. After having bitter experience in Mumbai terror attacks, Rajiv Gandhi's assassination in Tamil Nadu conflicts with CBI Vs State Govts, it has become extremely necessary to reduce over dependency on State Police instead, in the interest of internal security of the nation, declare and notify all other metro cities (like Delhi) and every State Capital as Union Territories under Central Govt control so that central govt agencies should be able to work independently smoothly and have better penetration and governance to identify and red-flag any risks factors in a much better manner to deal with such risks effectively. Internal Security matters should not be left to the discretion of State Governments alone. Also, the said arrangement shall be useful for Central Govt to establish its regional base within the State for the purpose of effective monitoring and supervision for the implementation of many Central Govt Welfare Schemes in every State also.

Homage to Dr. V.Krishnamurthy
I join thousands of past and present employees of BHEL,Maruty and SAIL in paying homage and tributes to our leader Dr.V.Krishnamurthy who passed away in Chennai yesterday. This event, among other things, brings out a cultural difference in the functioning of Public and Private Sector. While Maruti has promptly released a half page homage in all national newspapers the PSUs are yet to react. Yesterday being Sunday nobody would have been in the office. Today they may hold condolence meeting and the PR man will be instructed to issue a press release. He will the get busy to prepare a note for for approval for the size, text and the number of papers in which to release. The note will then be moved to Finance for concurrence after which it will be put up to the approving authority. This will take the whole of today and hopefully tomorrow something will appear.

Political scenario in Maharashtra augurs badly for future politics

The present political scenario in Maharashtra augurs badly for future politics. The MLAs and MPs, who owe loyalty to political parties, started selling themselves for their personal interests keeping the voter's faith at bay. This is not a good sign for future politics.

Need to curb privileges of elected representatives

Since Independence, corruption, nepotism etc. has been increasing due to the gross misuse of privileges by elected representatives all over the country. Many contest Elections only for these privileges and misuse them. While these people should be given adequate perks like salary, Travel Allowance, office maintenance allowance etc, their privileges should be cut down. Some of these: They or their personal staff, cannot call any public servant(of all levels) to their office or home or any other place; They should not be given any special treatment when they visit any Public Office; They should not have any direct say in the Administrative functions including Transfers and posting of officials; They should correspond with concerned Ministers (both at Centre and State) only; All Ministers should be given adequate Staff to receive all correspondence from Elected Representatives and send replies to them and Probably, if these are implemented, there will be some improvement in Governance all over the country.

ICS Association lives on

The nationalist version of Indian history taught in the schools minimizes the achievements of the ICS in maintaining district administration. If today the Indian peasant looks to the new district officer of his own race with the expectation of receiving justice and sympathy, that is their memorial.

DEBATE(1)
The idea of a debate like this is wrong. When the country became Independent, it needed a Prime Minister like David Ben Gurion or Golda Meir of Israel. What we got was Jawaharlal Nehru followed by Indira Gandhi. Corruption had become the first principle of administration during the time of Madam Indira. Result is that the foundation of our Republic has become so weak that MLAs, MPs have to be kept captive in hotels, resorts so that they don't cross vote. Fortunately, we got Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who created one India by merging the princely States.

DEBATE (2)
Retrograde steps taken by the NDA Government may pave the way for the opposition party Congress. If protests continue, Rahul Gandhi has had a political issue to derive political mileage in coming elections.

DEBATE(1)
Rahul Gandhi is no match to Narendra Modi because the claims that he is the son, grandson and great grandson of former Prime Ministers is not an advantage in the eyes of most Indians, who are increasingly disenchanted with claims to entitlement based on birth and ancestry.

DEBATE(2)
Rahul Gandhi acts as a part time politician. His critics say Narendra Modi shifted to campaign mode the day he took over as the Prime Minister in 2014 while Rahul and his party Congress went into a deep slumber after its decimation.

Role of the Information Commission

The appellant filed a complaint against a JNU Registrar and wanted the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) to take action against him. The PIO informed the appellant about the fact that the averred complaint filed by him was filed in their records without action as it did not concern the role and functions of CAT. The CIC upheld the stand of the PIO observing that the Appellant appears to be harbouring a grievance against the action/inaction on his complaint against a JNU professor filed by him with various authorities like PMO, MHRD etc. as he believes that the forwarding of the said complaint to the concerned JNU professor by these authorities is a travesty of justice against which he complained to CAT thereafter.
Comments
An appellant should restrict his RTI Application to seeking information as it is beyond the powers of the Information Commission to decide any other matter. The Apex Court in the matter of Union of India v Namit Sharma (Review Petition [C] No.2309 of 2012) observed that while deciding whether a citizen should or should not get a particular information “which is held by or under the control of any public authority”, the Information Commission does not decide a dispute between two or more parties concerning their legal rights other than their right to get information in possession of a public authority. The High Court of Delhi in the case of Hansi Rawat and Anr. v Punjab National Bank and Ors. (LPA No.785/2012) held that the proceedings under the RTI Act cannot be converted into proceedings for adjudication of disputes as to the correctness of the information furnished.

DEBATE(1)
Yes, there could be a fight between two parties based on their performance as a government at respective periods i.e. whether they have come up to the expectations of the people at large or not. This is because the public acts as an honest observer and decides accordingly. If it is a fight between the individuals, I am afraid, there can't be a comparison. Both are poles apart. This is the bitter truth. One is heavily loaded with Dynasty and sycophants; the other has earned his position in the party. One is not inclined to accept change, while the other takes the lead in effecting the changes in the organisation and the government without bothering about the outcome of those changes.

DEBATE (1)
Idea of such a topic itself is wrong and not acceptable as Narendra Modi is a highly experienced and most successful politician, Chief Minister , and now Prime Minister. Under him BJP has achieved high success while Rahul Gandhi is most inexperienced and unfit to be a politician. Under him the Congress party has lost its traditional vote bank and many elections.

GoI should withdraw ‘Agnipath’ scheme
The Government of India should withdraw the 'Agnipath' scheme before the situation spirals out of control and more deaths of youths in protest. The Angnipath will meet the same fate as the Farmers' Bill. The age between 17 and 21 is not mature for manoeuvre posing threat to the nation’s security.
