(DATE WITH RTI completes 17 years on whispers)

No reply about Charitable Trust by the public authority
The Appellant filed an online RTI application dated 28.12.2023 seeking the information about Chiranjeev Charitable Trust which ran three schools. He asked how he was terminated without any show cause notice after 17 years of service. He sought for the permission letter for name change of the society from the Registrar office and other related information. The CIC observed that as per available record file, no reply was given to the Appellant at the initial stage by the answering Respondent and admonished him for the same. However, upon receipt of the hearing notice from the CIC, a suitable and pointwise reply has been given to the Appellant vide letter dated 06.10.2025, but, a copy of the same was not received by the Appellant. Accordingly, the CIC directed the Respondent to send a copy to the appellant along with relevant annexures, through speed-post as well as through email. Further, the CIC cautioned the Respondent Public Authority to act strictly within the precincts of the RTI Act by observing the timelines scrupulously and punctually, in future.
Comments
The simple act of replying to the RTI applicant can prevent the avoidable embarrassment of appearing before the CIC and wastage of time.

Why Priyanka Gandhi contesting from Wayanad?

Why is Priyanka Gandhi running to Wayanad and contesting. She could have contested from UP, Bengal or Delhi too.

Priyanka: emits dictator Aura
Priyanka clearly emits “dictator” aura. If she becomes PM, mark my words she will amend the constitution, again declares emergency 2.0, curbs all the rights of hindus and peak appeasement politics.

Reappointment of IAS officer after retirement ?

Why Govt. reappoint IAS after retirement? Why not government increase the retirement age instead of reappointment? Why not reappoint group B, C & D employees after retirement? Why not government give employment to the youngsters ? Unemployment is at a high peak but neither centre government nor MPs of any party are worried & thinking about it. Serious urgent concern.

CCI was deliberately made ineffective. All sectors now face similar threats like civil aviation.

Foreign competition in all important sectors has been deliberately driven out to benefit domestic business houses and now Indian market is effectively a supplier market rather than consumer market.

Will India too witness Bangladesh like situation ?

There's growing concern in India about the possibility of witnessing a Bangladesh-like situation, especially after the recent unrest and attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. Protests have erupted in various Indian cities, including New Delhi, Kolkata, and Jammu, condemning the violence against minorities in Bangladesh.
The Indian government has summoned Bangladesh's envoy, expressing concerns over the safety of Hindus and other minorities. The situation is being closely monitored, with some politicians calling for stronger measures to protect Hindus in Bangladesh and prevent similar incidents in India.

“Bangladesh’s sinister agenda”

Having tasted power, Mohammad Yunus, the chief advisor, is getting his own people killed to sabotage holding free and fair elections in Bangladesh in Feb 2026. Absence of administrative experience makes him unfit to govern the country. His anti-Hindu and anti-India stance is a threat to Bangladeshi minorities particularly the Hindus. The mob lynching must stop.
The siliguri corridor (chicken’s neck) has suddenly grown extremely vulnerable. India should strengthen its defences in the region to thwart the nefarious designs of Pakistan and China on separating the north-eastern seven sisters from India.
Further, Sheikh Haseena sheltered in India, may be advised to refrain from issuing political statements from the Indian soil.

Do the details of my passing out match with the official records?

The appellant gave his enrollment number and submitted that he had completed his Diploma in Civil Engineering from a particular University in 2014. He wanted to verify whether these details match with the official data records. The PIO informed that the UGC does not verify the Validation of documents and requested the appellant to approach the concerned University. The CIC observed that the Appellant did not seek for any information as envisaged under Section 2(f) of the RTI Act, rather he sought for clarification or confirmation of a speculative statement. While the PIO attempted to facilitate the Appellant by giving a clarification as though replying to a grievance petition, but the PIO ought to have specified that the Appellant has not asked for any information per se.
Comments
In purely legal terms, the role of the PIO is restricted to providing what is covered under the definition of the term “information” as defined under Section 2(f) of the RTI Act. It would be prudent for the PIO to examine whether the request of the applicant is within the parameters of section 2(f) of the RTI Act and take action accordingly.

Why BHEL HR Director, Krishna Thakur is switching over to NMDC?
He is doing his best at BHEL now he will set right NMDC. This is always better to switch to other organisation if opportunity comes particularly at higher position. You will enjoy your previous contacts to do better in new organisation. You can enjoy benefits of both the organisation in terms of various activity personal or official. Overall this is good for the company. BHEL is a big organisation and will get suitable replacement for sri thakur soon.

Free to Join
It is very sad part that BHEL's employees below board level are forced not to apply in any PSU by not issuing NOC as required by other PSU. But, board level members free to join any other organisation. It is completely in appropriate action on part of employees.

Disparity will be corrected

In spite of so many reforms in the civil services whether it is technical or non technical, a scenario as pointed out by you still exists. Hopefully this type of disparity will be corrected in the years to come.

Posting in CIC
It's good that he has made a decision for posting in CIC, whether his man or others, but it is his responsibility to make them work for the benefit of the common man so that the lost glory of CIC can be brought back. It's a shame that no representatives from DDA or RCS attend the hearings of the CIC and do not execute the CIC's orders. If this continues, then the CIC should be closed. Even corporations like ONGC are least bothered by RTIs and thus CIC.
