How does it matter if he voted for BJP or not?

This is about showing the flaw and the fact. Why does it always have to be something related to politics? Freaking comes to the level where you can oppose the BJP or stop shouting.

RTI Application returned by mistake

Respondent was of the impression that the information sought in RTI application was already replied as similar information he had already asked in some other RTI application. Hence, he returned the RTI application stating that the information requested has already been supplied previously. Later, on perusal of files, the CPIO understood that the information requested in this petition is different from previous petition and expressed his regret for the mistake assuring the CIC that such situation will not recur in future. The PIO submitted that it was not done wantonly or in malafide intention. The CIC observed that the Respondent was unable to respond correctly to the queries raised by the Appellant, subsequently, the FAA had furnished appropriate information. Considering the detailed, comprehensive and self explanatory statement of facts filed by the Respondent before it, the CIC directed the PIO to send a copy of the written submission to the Appellant. The CIC closed the matter directing the Respondent to submit a compliance report in this regard before it..
Comments This case law offers relief in those cases where the PIO has inadvertently acted against the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005.

Big surprise after June 4

Internal rebellion is springing, not just among MLAs & MPs, but supporters & ground workers are extremely dissatisfied too with the conduct of the party & its leadership. In fact ground workers are silently working to defeat Congress + AAP Candidates all over Delhi. Big surprise is awaited after June 4, a split in party is on the table too!

Arushee is seasoned Sanghi

This Cartoonist Arushee Mehrotra seems to be a seasoned sanghi! Nice job in dalaali!

Why people hurt by cartoons?
I don't understand why people are so hurt by cartoons. It's a cartoon and it needs to appeal to the masses. It can be something the cartoonist wants to convey. Please understand that calling someone Sanghi, Dalal or Godi or xyz doesn't make you an intellectual intellectual rather a big mouthed fool.

No wonder turnout is lower!
Yes it’s puzzling. Not only this time in all last two or three elections, we have seen electioneering at the lowest ebb. No wonder turnout is lower, much lower in younger voters. The type of discourse by political parties and worse by all except a few TV channels really puts you off. It is time for introspection by top politicians.

Absolutism to replace democracy?

Absolutism is emerging as the new device to sabotage democracy. It is a new instrument of interfering in internal affairs of any democracy. In the last 5 decades the military superpowers, led by the USA, have consciously chosen the illegitimate path of weakening, destabilising and destroying emerging democracies. With the unclean motive to control these democracies, different mechanisms were devised and deployed. Bribing leaders, paralysing normal governance, causing collapse of law & order, encouraging military coups to overthrow democratically elected governments and prime ministers, executing or even assassinating heads of governments or states, berthing in political establishments, using aid as an instrument of forced changes of policy or personnel, influencing economy and elections, replacing elected governments with military dictatorship, sabotaging development projects, capturing markets to ruin local products and creating large scale unemployment, recruiting graduates to train them for subversion or rebellion against the national elected government, influencing society & culture to impose its own in its place and threatening the decision makers in various ways. Things have gone much beyond proxy ruling a government. Not satisfied with the service rendered by head functionaries of such dual governments, and doubtful of the capabilities of young leaders of the political establishment, another mechanism was put into operation. Intellectual slaves were commanded to speak for the party at different fora simply to raise controversies, be it science or technology, tradition or modernism, nationalism & patriotism, army, air force, navy, security establishment, intelligence agencies, academic institutions, media personnel, authors, ideologues and successful business houses/corporations, only to gain popularity. Fearing exposure, third country platforms were utilised. The parties were advised to set up International Headquarters. This worked well because the activities of such an organisation were out of oversight of national intelligence agencies. They were located either in tax havens or Dubai. In a way, it was a shadow government operating from foreign countries with some NRI faces giving it the impression of genuine party opinion. The worst exercise is promoting “absolutism”. Absolutism is a new doctrine which swears by the law but functions contrary to it. It challenges every other legitimate authority including constitutional, political & legal. It behaves like an autocrat. It is the master of anarchy. Chaos is its weapon to rule. Malevolence is its ideology. Corruption of unprecedented magnitude is an energy drug. Violence is its creed. It misrules its masters in foreign countries. It creates so much law and order all around celebrated by foreign media which never tires in singing its paeans. They prefer someone mentally challenged through looking normal human being. The purpose is to capture the country and all its resources by a new form of modern colonisation and slavery. The human resources of such a country are not allowed to develop into more than modern slaves. Globalisation failed to serve such interests and hence now the era of Counter Globalisation through Absolutism. Democracy suffers from many ills, corruption being the worst. It needs organ transplantation forthwith. Here is Absolutism. It is invented, tested and traded by military superpowers of the world. The same who invented the atom bomb and tested it in Japan in 1945. They were so gaga for decades until some equally crazy guy invented the Human Bomb! And it has put more fear in every superpower than the atom bomb ever could! The world lives in peace alone. Let democracy flourish everywhere.

Unfortunate move to belittle EC

I fully agree with the very candid and forthright views expressed. I strongly feel that the sanctity and fairness beyond doubt image of Election Commission has suffered a blow from the very day when the Chief Justice of India was removed from the membership of EC by the present dispensation. Hats off to the Group of ex- bureaucrats who at the call of their conscience rose together in unison to register their protest against the unfortunate move to belittle the EC and make it toothless. This move is surely a silver lining in today's era of subservience to power to keep one's position intact. Sadly unprincipled compromise is probably equated with pragmatism in today’s world.

“Things are not hunky-dory inside AAP”

Swati Maliwal’s allegation of misbehaviour at Kejriwal’s “sheesh mahal”, gives a feeling of déjà vu. Delhi’s ex-chief Secy Anshu Prakash was similarly assaulted at the hands of riff raffs at the same venue. The matter is subjudice. Sadly, the AAP is trying to downplay the seriousness of the incident and set the controversy at rest through cryptic statements. This is not acceptable. The police is expected to investigate the complaint to its logical end, register an FIR and record statements of all concerned including Delhi’s autocratic Chief Minister-on interim bail. Let us not forget that the matter involves a sitting member of Rajya Sabha who is also the chairperson of Delhi commission for women. No point making the CM office staffer the scapegoat.

Why elections on negative issues?

Four phases under the LS polls have ended. It has been seen that after the end of the second phase, the election campaign of all the parties became completely based on negative issues. The question is why did this happen? The government and its supporters never get tired of saying that development is taking place in the country. India is the fastest growing economy in the world. It is also said that this is the century of knowledge; the 21st century belongs to the Indian youth. The country has reached the moon. Knocked on the door of Mars. There were achievements in the Olympics. But the question is, why did the country's political discourse become so negative with no focus on positive achievements?

Moral degradation in every part of society

I absolutely agree with your views sir. It is very sad that moral degradation has crept in every nook and corner of our society. The saddest commentary is that it is rare to find a bureaucrat with a firm conscience who could stand up against wrongdoings keeping up with his/ her official ethics by which probably he/ she has been sworn in at the time of his/ her appointment. It is an age of spineless wonders.

Filing second appeal with a different public authority

The Appellant filed an RTI application with PACL Nodal Officer and Secretary, Judge (Retd) R.M. Lotha Committee seeking certain information. Having not received any response from the CPIO, the Appellant filed a First Appeal with the FAA, SEBI. Aggrieved with the non-receipt of response, the Appellant filed a second appeal with the CIC. The Appellant submitted that he is only conversant with Tamil language and submitted that he has not received any information in the matter. SEBI submitted that it did not receive the RTI Application under reference and only the First Appeal addressed to SEBI was received. Since the RTI Application with reference to which the First Appeal was filed was never received by SEBI, the First Appeal was treated as a fresh RTI Application. For the want of proper RTI fees, the Appellant was informed that SEBI can accept RTI Application accompanied with RTI fees through prescribed mode and he was also advised that he can also file a fresh RTI Application. The CIC observed that the Appellant has filed the First Appeal before the FAA, SEBI without even filing any RTI Application with SEBI. The Registry has also erroneously arrayed SEBI as a Respondent in the matter, therefore, the role of SEBI is dispensed with. The appeal was rendered as not maintainable.
Comments
An applicant must file the RTI application and appeal with the same public authority. In case the application has been transferred under section 6(3) of the RTI Act, then the appeal is liable to be filed with the FAA of the public authority to whom the RTI application has been transferred.

BJP confident of reaching target

The BJP seems quite hopeful of reaching the target of 400 seats. This is evident from the fact that Home Minister Amit Shah has claimed 190 seats after the three phases of the Lok Sabha polls.
