World is eyeing India

Known for its royal Heritage & rich culture, the world is eyeing on India & even Indian festivals are celebrated across the globe, greetings are sent from top leaders of the world. No matter India is a vast market for multinationals, today top leaders of various Nations are Indians. If we see from political aspect our PM Narendra Modi is at the right place at the right time, delivering best with his timely decisions. He is passionately running the country, which is a major count for his Global Image. India is also going to be benefited largely as many nations wants China to slow down due to its offensive image. Now it’s time for the young generation to take full advantage & create India a super Power.

Is he a Modi baiter?
Harsh Kumar seems to be a Modi baiter. In fact the numbers of RTI applications and public grievances applications have increased post 2014. This is so because people feel that genuine and in genuine problems will be solved in Modi regime. This country has many people who feel that their illegal demands are genuine because it is for their personal benefit. The fact of the matter is that CIC had pending applications of an average 3 years old. If frame your application properly, then you will get an appropriate reply. Please don't raise query, ask question and seek reasons in your RTI applications. Further don't infringe upon third party information.

EPIC-Voter ID cards

Many citizens have received Voter ID cards almost twenty five years ago. The photos in the cards have faded and due to aging there is no resemblance between the photo and our present appearance! Getting a duplicate card from State Election offices is very difficult as they are not geared to handle huge demands. ECI can nominate some agencies to issue duplicate Voter ID cards on payment basis to those who want just as Income Tax department has authorised a few agencies to issue PANCARDS on payment basis.

Is India short of any talent?

Why can't you take serving officials on deputation and fill the vacuum with youngsters ?

Land grabbing
Land grabbing, property fraud have become endemic in Telangana/AP in the last few years. Bad elements are working in groups. We read about land grabbing everyday in Hyderabad newspapers. The Central Govt should introduce an anti land grabbing law to contain the situation.

GoI has diluted infinite RTI

I beg to disagree with Anurag Srivastava that people don't know about RTI. But GoI has diluted infinite RTI, information is not shared, action is not taken on RTI requests and when responded it is only vague information. This trend has started from 2014 onwards.

Many people are still ignorant about RTI

Many people are still ignorant that they cannot ask questions and seek reasons under the RTI regime. When they find they are not getting any response to their questions and reasons, then they start complaining against the CPIOs and Appellate Authorities of the public authority.

BEL rated as ‘good’ CPSE for year 2019-20

A real surprise. A company which is doing a fantastic contribution to the security of our country is rated only as Good , something basically wrong about the ratings system. I am a native of Bangalore, worked in a major Bangalore based defence PSU as a very senior executive and I certainly know what is BEL.

GWMC officials occupy private land illegally !
Dear Sir: I am a US citizen and PIO card holder. I have retired from US federal department of defence last year and trying my best to settle in Hyderabad. However, I have some issues with Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC ) officials as they have trespassed into my land, constructing illegal buildings. GWMC is silent due to local politics and money trail to various building inspectors. Kindly help me and also reply with your email so as to send more details.

Denied information by CCIC

I have been denied information under some pretext or the other by PIO, CCIC of India - a PSU under Ministry of Textiles. I hope I get some insight after going through the aforementioned website. It is frustrating for the appellant; I have received very little information after eight months, after preferring appeal to the first appellate authority continuously.

Can information be denied in sub-judice matters?

In respect of the Company Termination Notice and the reason for the inordinate delay in bringing his case to a close, the information sought by the complainant was rejected under section 8(1)(a) of the RTI Act, holding that it pertains to aviation security related matters. The complainant stated that information was denied without any reasons or justification despite the fact that the same pertained to his own disciplinary proceedings and withdrawal of Airport Entry Permit (AEP). The respondent stated that a petition has been filed by the complainant before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi where the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) is also a party. The CIC observed that no plausible explanation for claiming exemption u/s 8 (1) (a) of the RTI Act was provided by the PIO and the same is without any clear justification which is against Section 7 (8) (i) of the Act. The CIC ruled that the plea of the Respondent regarding the ongoing matter before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi bears no relevance to the facts of the instant case since the RTI Act does not provide for any exemption u/s 8 as per which information can be denied merely on the ground that the matter is subjudice. The CIC directed the PIO, BCAS to show cause and submit an explanation stating the reasons/ justifications for claiming exemption u/s 8 (1) (a) of the RTI Act by 30.11.2021.
Comments
The information cannot be denied merely on the ground that the matter is pending before the Court of law. The matter being sub-judice is not a ground for denial of information.

Headless NHAI has no important member

Government is not serious on this issue even knowing that it is the only organisation on which life of nation is dependent because it is 24*7 live even in the pandemic. Due to this kind of situation decision making got suffered. So government should appoint members from the regular officers because they are well acquainted with the government policy and contract conditions. Regular Officials are working round the clock but in the absence of members from the permanent cadre, only dependent on officers from other organisation who come for limited period. It’s the only organisation who doesn’t get appreciation even performed very well.
